Eiffel scholarships : www.campusfrance.org/en/EIFFEL

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme was established in January 1999 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development to enable French higher education establishments to attract top foreign students to enrol in their master’s, engineering diploma and PhD courses. The Eiffel scholarships are prestigious merit scholarships for master’s level and PhD's level students.

Areas of study which are eligible for the scholarship:

  • law and political sciences
  • economics and management
  • engineering science at master’s level, science in the broadest sense at PhD level (engineering science; exact sciences: mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences, nano and biotechnology, earth sciences, sciences of the universe, environmental sciences, information and communication science and technology)

International students who wish to apply for an Eiffel scholarship must do so via the French university that they want to enrol in, and not directly. The application is submitted by the person responsible for the master or the doctoral advisor.

NB: applications for Eiffel scholarships by same student cannot be submitted by more than one university.

Regional AUF offices publish calls for applications. Each one may have different application procedures.
